MEET ME

I am Katrina LaJiness!
Homemaker. Homeschooler. Homesteader.
Most importantly, I am a wife and mama to two beautiful kiddos - Laila and Elijah. Family is my everything! It wasn't until I had my first child when I realized how precious ALL stages of life truly are. And how time is the biggest thief! I find so much honor and joy when documenting your families moments because I know how important and special they truly are.
What started as a hobby 6+ years ago is now a major passion of mine. To be honest, I had never planned on becoming a photographer. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I have been down many avenues in my professional life including operations manager, project manager assistant, human resource director, personal trainer and now photographer. I had always felt that something was missing - creativity, connection and love. I really do LOVE this job.
When I am not working you will find me playing outside with my kiddos! Or possibly whipping up something in the kitchen! We love our little homestead. We enjoy gardening, taking care of our animals, home projects, hiking, biking, dirt biking, jet skiing, boating, snowmobiling - basically anything outdoors lol! I recently started homeschooling which as been a fun adventure.
Sessions
During my sessions, I ensure you there will be lots of joy, laughter and candid moments. My sessions are family centered. I want you (my subjects) front and center at all times. Generally speaking, kiddos are the focal points. I will guide you through a mixture of prompts and poses that allow me to capture your love and connection as it is. Naturally, those beautiful in-between candid moments unfold organically. This is how I achieve natural, timeless images!
And yes, I will throw out goofy jokes, excessive compliments and have a smile on my silly face the entire time. That is just me!
